Chicken meat production in Türkiye increases by 12.1%

In August, turkey meat production increased by 15.7%, chicken meat production increased by 12.1%, number of the slaughtered chicken increased by 11% and hen egg production increased by 5.1% compared with the same month of the previous year.

In January-August period, number of the slaughtered chicken increased by 12.8%, chicken meat production increased by 11%, turkey meat production increased by 10.8% and hen egg production increased by 1.2% compared with the same period of the previous year.

Chicken meat production rose by 14.4% in August compared to the previous month and increased from 188 thousand 613 tons to 215 thousand 865 tons.

Hen egg production rose by 7.5% in August compared to the previous month and increased from 1 billion 567 million 430 thousand units to 1 billion 684 million 858 thousand units. (ILKHA)
